Regulatory
Our Sentinel Platform Designs are subject to regulatory approval from the Association of Analytical Communities (AOAC International). AOAC International is a global standardization organization focused on the creation, validation, and global publication of reliable analytical test methods, primarily to evaluate the safety of foods, beverages, dietary supplements, and similar materials consumed by people and animals. These test methods are of two broad categories: chemical tests and microbiological tests. Once a method is granted by AOAC, it is fully recognized by the USDA, FDA, European Union counterparts, and numerous global regulatory agencies. The regulatory approval process provides a standardized means for validating food microbiological test methods for specificity, sensitivity, and overall ruggedness of the diagnostic assay. We expect to begin our application process in 2011.
